Experience Youth Dance Fest
The Youth Dance Fest unites talented and aspiring dancers through the celebration and performance of dance in a non-competitive atmosphere. YDF offers dancers an experience that will enrich and inspire their craft. The Festival provides an opportunity for young dancers to learn from their peers, connect through dance, and gain a sense of community.
YDF Festivals Include:
4-6 Master Classes over 3 days
Opportunity to perform one piece up to 5 minutes in length
Professional Performance Opportunity open to the public
Custom Designed PYDF/LYDF 2025 T-Shirt
Scholarship Opportunities for Summer Dance Study
Access to professional performance photos and video recording.
The opportunity to meet, dance, and perform with other young dancers of diverse backgrounds

Company Fees
Each Company pays a $50 fee upon filling out the Company Application form.
Companies receive:
Guaranteed participation in PYDF/LYDF 2025 Festival
Professional Lighting and Sound
Technicians during tech and performance
Ticket Sales Management
Professional Video Documentation
Professional Photographer
All press and marketing for the event
Custom Designed 2025 PYDF/LYDF T-Shirt

Dancer Fees
Each dancer pays a $100.00 participation fee.
Dancers aged 11 and up are eligible to participate.
Dancers receive:
3 Days of master classes
Professional Performance Opportunity open to the public

Philadelphia Youth Dance Fest Timeline

November 2024
All companies wishing to participate in the 2025 Philadelphia Youth Dance Festival are required to submit a Company Application Form and pay the $50 Participation Fee by November 1st, 2024.

December 2024
Companies must submit their company contract to confirm their participation the 2025 Philadelphia Youth Dance Fest by December 1st, 2024

January, 2024
Companies must complete their registration packet and submit up to two pieces for review by January 12th 2025
PYDF will review and select one piece from each company by January 26th, 2025

February 2024
Dancers are required to complete their registration by February 16th, 2025
Companies will pay their Dancer Fees for all participating dancers online and must submit their payment by February 16th, 2025.

March 2024
March 1st: Deadline for companies to offer a Scholarship for the PYDF Scholarship Class
March 10th:
Deadline for directors to submit Tech Information and music file
Deadline for nominated dancers to complete scholarship class registration
