Information for Directors
Upcoming Deadlines:

All companies wishing to participate in the LYDF 2025 Festival must submit a Company Application and pay their $50 Application Fee by November 1st, 2024.

All directors must complete and submit their company contract to confirm their participation the 2025 LYDF Festival by December 1st, 2024

SUBMIT PIECE
Companies must complete their registration packet and submit up to two pieces for review by February 24, 2025
YDF will review and select one piece or both from each company by March 17, 2025
All pieces must be under 5 minutes in length
Due to the delicate Marley Flooring in the theatre, we cannot accept pieces that have tap shoes or heels. Feel free to incorporate tap boards if necessary.

Deadline to submit Summer Scholarship Offers
Through LYDF’s scholarship audition class, students have the opportunity to audition for scholarships to multiple summer programs at the same time without any additional charge.
If your company would like to offer a scholarship to your summer program please fill out our Scholarship Form.
Deadline for submissions is March 1st, 2025.

Participation Fees: to be submitted by the Companies
Once your company has been notified of your selected piece, please submit payment for the total number of participating dancers ($100 per performing dancer or $60 for just Classes).
Companies are responsible for obtaining payment from all of their participating dancers and will pay YDF the total amount via the payment form.
Deadline for all payments is April 1st, 2025
Dancer Registration: to be completed by the dancers
All dancers will complete their Dancer Registration Forms and submit them online no later than April 1st, 2025.
Companies are responsible for communicating with their dancers and reminding them to fill out their registration forms

Deadline for directors to nominate two of their dancers to participate in the LYDF Scholarship Class.
Each company may nominate TWO of their dancers to participate in the summer scholarship class.
To nominate your dancers, simply share the link to the Scholarship Class Registration Form here and have them complete their form by May 1st.
Dancers will have to review all of the scholarship offers, and indicate which programs they would like to be considered for.
The audition class will consist of ballet/pointe, jazz, and contemporary phrases.

Directors are required to complete the Tech Information Form and upload music file (within the tech form) by May 1st, 2025.
You will upload your music file within the Tech Form. Please do not email your music file.

All Chaperones who will be traveling with the dancers at DeSales University must fill out a Chaperone Release form by May 11th, 2025.
Offer a Scholarship
Through LYDF’s scholarship audition class, students have the opportunity to audition for scholarships to multiple summer programs at the same time without any additional charge. Scholarships are provided by LYDF companies as well as outside dance organizations, and enable dancers to expand their training and professional opportunities beyond their home studio.

How the scholarship process works:
Directors sign up to offer scholarships
Each participating LYDF company will nominate 2 of their dancers based on financial need and availability to attend the one or more of the summer programs offered.
Nominated dancers take part in the audition class during the festival
Representative of each summer program attend the scholarship audition to select their awardees.
Scholarships are announced during the festival.
