Delaware Dance Company, Youth Dance Ensemble

The Youth Dance Ensemble is Delaware Dance Company’s younger performing ensemble for advanced beginner and intermediate level dancers. All members are enrolled in a Jazz or Modern class in addition to their required Ballet curriculum. YDE's goals are to expose dancers to different styles, performance opportunities, to start to develop dancers training and artistry as artists. YDE attends and performs at local festivals and community events. In previous years, YDE attended and performed at the Maryland Dance Festival and the Delaware Dance Festival. More recently, they have attended and performed at the Philadelphia Youth Dance Festival, Delaware Youth Dance Festival as well as at Newark Community Day and for local school communities. They have also supported the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and American Cancer Society through performances at their fundraising events.
